tickling kitty - Google Search

Okay, as most of you know, I love the Bonnie Hunt Show and tape it to watch when I'm working at home or just when I need a little lift. The show always gives me a smile or a chuckle in some way. She has started ending her show with a "Feel Good Moment of the Day." She recently showed this adorable video of someone tickling a baby kitty which is one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time.

What joy pets can bring to our lives!

Now if that wasn't enough to keep me smiling, she then showed a little prank her staff played on her---too funny! This group just has too much fun working together. Her show pulls me into a place where they are all great friends of mine; I get to join in their fun, her mom Alice is my new adoptive mother, and I am part of her circle of family and friends.

Thankful

Thanksgiving and Black Friday are behind us now and I hope you all have enjoyed your holiday. I scrapped all day today with friends and get to do the same for the next two days. I am so thankful to be able to enjoy such a rewarding hobby. I have made so many wonderful friends and I want you to know that I am very thankful for each and every one of you who scrap with me, support me and share your friendship with me. Yesterday I had dinner with my dear friend Bevie and her family. I stole an idea for some cute turkey place cards from a friend, changed it up a bit and made it my own, to make them for her holiday table. I have shared a picture of them here with you. Aren't they the cutest? I like them so much that I am going to make some up to sell at my craft fairs next year.

Pets

Okay---so on my way home the other day, I stopped at Del Taco where I had a coupon and grabbed myself a burrito for my dinner. I had a lot to carry, so I put the bag with my burrito in it inside my purse. When I got in the house I put my purse on my dining table and was putting some things away in the kitchen. I went to close the door and saw that Peek-A-Boo (my dog) had left her baby (a stuffed dog) outside. I called her and told her to go get her baby. She came scampering past me to the outside to get it and I saw she had something large in her mouth---looked like a large white rawhide dog bone. Megan's pup had been over at one time with one so I figured that Peek-A-Boo must have found it in some secret hiding place where it had been forgotten. She took it out, dropped it in the flower bed next to her baby but didn't bring either inside so I went out to get the baby and bring it in. That's when I got a better look. There in the dirt lay my burrito. Inside on the table, the bag was still in my purse and the burrito wrapper was on the floor. So much for my dinner.

Pets---who needs 'um. I do, I know----but my entire burrito, come on!

Too Bad---So Sad!

Hello Fellow Scrappers!

I missed the All Night Crop that was held at TMI this last weekend and since I know many of you did as well, I thought I'd make you all share in my sadness by sharing a few photos from the event taken by my friend Tracey. She is shown in the photo with her friend Casey at 4am just before they all left to go to see Dawn Patrol. Robyn had a "connection" for parking, so they had only a short walk to front row seating. As you can see Tracey got some great photos. After the Balloon Races they all went to breakfast at Peg's---always good. I'm told they all had a fantastic time and got great prizes at the crop as well. Here's hoping they will do it again next year and let's say the rest of us don't miss it this time!

P.S.--I had a really good excuse for being absent. We took Matilda, the cutest little grand daughter on the planet, to Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, to celebrate her 3rd birthday. Just to show you I didn't have such a bad weekend myself I've included a couple of pictures from my adventure as well.

Jerry Lewis Goat

Okay girls, I'm watching an episode of Bonnie Hunt while prepping for a class and she showed this clip of a goat that sounds like Jerry Lewis. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwy1qGdQ424 What a crack up! The goat is hysterical but equally as funny is the poor girl trying to feed the goat. This is typical of anyone trying to record anything funny happening to me. The star of the video is often upstaged by my laughter. You either hate it or can't help laughing with me. Anyway I hope get a giggle out of this as I did.
She also had a clip from the news of a couple of elderly ladies that tied themselves to a crab apple tree to save it from being cut down. It was pretty funny but I couldn't find that clip. They planted themselves in front of the tree on a couple of plastic chairs and draped a small rope across themselves tying the end of the rope to the arm of the chair in a loose single knot. Too funny. She actually chatted with one of the ladies on the phone. They had saved the tree until October when they would revisit the issue. If they had to do it again, she told Bonnie, "There's always bigger ropes."
I just love Bonnie and this show. Never fails to give me a smile!

The other day I was watching an episode of the Bonnie Hunt show---I've mentioned before that I just love her. Well, she had Paula Deen on the show and they were talking about her story and about a book she had written about her life. Something about her story touched me so I ordered her book on half.com. The story grabbed me immediately from the foreword. I related so much to a lot of her story. I haven't finished the book yet, but it has already given me a huge respect for the woman behind the great southern cook. I wish I had her drive. I could do anything! Anyway, her story gives me hope that a life begun late can still be a life well worth the living and makes me believe that unexpected wonderful things could pop up for me just around any corner.

Thanks

Thanks Girls!
My 4th of July Album kits sold out an I had to make more! I'm so glad that you liked it! Now that I've made more I have two left---that's it. Just two and they're gone. Just a hint--the next kit that will be available is a cute little mini album in the shape of a sunshine. How appropriate. Is it hot or what? I have been asked whether I will be making any kits available for layouts and the answer is---Yes. Keep om watching. There is much more to come. I'm trying to keep these stubby little fingers working.

Anyway, I hope you are all finding a way to keep cool and finding time to do some scrappin'. Let me know if you want to grab one of these final two 4th of July mini album kits.

Do any of you watch the Bonnie Hunt Show? Isn't it fun? Don't you love her mother? I came across it by accident on morning and it gave me such a lift that I started taping it each day. I put it on and kind of listen/watch while I'm scrapping or working around the house. It never fails to give me a laugh or smile. Thought I'd share with all of you how much I enjoy the show and suggest that you tune in and check it out sometime if you need a little boost.

Taken

I treated myself to a movie tonight. I went to the Grand Sierra Cinema to see Liam Neison in "Taken." I know it comes out on video on Tuesday, but it's cheaper at that theater ($3) than it would cost to rent it and I get to go out. Plus, they have the most comfortable seats like couches to relax on. The movie was really good. Very action packed and dramatic and I really enjoyed it.

Camp TMT 2009

Here I am lounging at Camp TMT. I was able to go to camp for the first time this year. I was so excited! It is such a beautiful facility! It was such a blessing to be able to spend a weekend away with my fabulous scrapbooking friends. One of the great things about this hobby/obsession of ours is that we meet such great ladies. There was plenty of room to spread out and I was able to get quite a bit done. Maybe I will share a couple of the layouts with you in a couple of days. Right now I'm preparing for another weekend of scrapbooking fun at Scrapaganza this weekend. I hope to see many of you there. If you're not there, I hope you are doing something else fun to celebrate National Scrapbook Day. Enjoy!

I hosted my first in home class last night and I so enjoyed it! Four of you joined me here for a sketches class and we had such a lovely time. I hope some more of you will consider coming sometime. I would love to welcome you to my little home for some fun scrapbooking time. Thanks to those of you who were here. I loved having you!

Hi Girls---

Thought you might like to see some pictures of the workspace area if you are considering joining me for a class in my home.
There are two workspace areas, each with ample room for two people.

The last area is set up with my laptop, my Silhouette, and my Cricut to be used to make titles and such if needed. If need be, I have a larger table I can set up here to accommodate another person.

Can I just say how much I love scrapbooking and the wonderful friends I've made doing it. What a great hobby! I had a rough week this week and was feeling kind of down. That was until I scrapped with a group of my friends last night. I scrapped, I chatted, I laughed and had a fabulous time. My blues gone, I drove home afterward with a smile on my face. Thank you to those gals last night and to all of you who join me in classes or at crops. You are all a great source of joy for me!
