My Movie Star

Well girls, I'm off to the $3 movie theater to see "Blind Side"---finally. I'm sure I'll like it. Oh--but before I go I must tell you all a funny story! For a very long time I have often told Megan that she looks like Sandra Bullock who is a favorite actress for both of us. (Just as a side note to the story--Matilda's favorite is Tinkerbell). She has always disagreed with me telling me that I'm crazy and that no one thinks that but me. Well--I went by to see Matilda this afternoon and Tracy tells me that she and Matilda watched the Oscars together. Matilda called it the "pretty dress show" and they critiqued and commented on the outfits worn by the various actresses. Onto the screen comes Sandra Bullock dressed for the occasion and Matilda declares--"Look Mommy! Auntie Meme (her version of Megan) in a Tinkerbell dress!" Enough said. I'm right. I always knew my daughter had movie star looks!

Returned home from teaching my Calendar Class and curled up on the couch to watch a bit of TV. Watching an episode of House that I had taped. The girl on the show is constantly updating her blog and something about it inspired me to grab my computer. One of my fellow attendees from camp posted the group photo we took on the steps at Donna Jean's retreat this past weekend, so I thought I'd share it with all of you. We had so much fun, but I must confess that I still have not fully recovered from the stairs.

Well, I'm going to marvel at how Dr. House and his team solve yet another medical mystery and then get some much needed rest so that I can get busy planning my next classes tomorrow.

Night, night

Home Again, Home Again

Returned from a wonderful weekend retreat in Virginia City last night. I am suffering the effects of going up and down three stories---not the best idea for an old woman with a back injury, but I'm not going to let a little pain keep me from having fun with my girlfriends! Thank you so much to those of you who helped me haul my stuff up and down. I didn't take any pictures on my camera, but when I get some form others I will post some. We all had a great time. Now it's time for me to put my nose to the grindstone and finish prepping for my Calendar Class tomorrow night.
