Project 365 Day 36

After returning from my fun scrapping weekend I had two full days of stuff to do and hadn't even had time to unpack my stuff, so this morning when it was time to tackle it I got hit with the Spring Cleaning Bug. I started in the bedroom and bathroom and began moving through the rest of the house. I'm not finished yet and will work on it again on Friday. Daisies are my favorite flower and they are so bright and cheerful that they just say "Spring" to me. I know that I have already included a picture of these daisies in my project, but I was so happy about how beautiful they still were when I cleaned this area that I just had to show them again. These are the flowers Megan and Mikey gave me for Mother's Day! Look how beautiful they still are! They bought them at Costco, so here's a big shout out to them for selling flowers of such good quality and beauty.

Rodeo Time!

This post will seem a bit redundant since I posted the picture of this kit for my Project 365, but bear with me.

After becoming aware of the success and popularity of the page kits from Out On A Limb, I have decided to design and sell a line of less expensive kits. They will not be as involved as many of my past kits have been and they will be easier and quicker to put together.

In addition to the cheaper prices, those of you in the Reno area will be able to pick them up with no shipping charges. Those of you outside of the area can earn free shipping by ordering a minimum of ten kits. You can contact me to order and pay for kits as they come out, and if you like, I will hold your order here and ship it out to you when you reach ten. If you can't wait and need them now, the shipping charge will be $3.50 for the first kit and $2 for each additional kit. I have included the sales tax in the prices so there will be no extra charges there.

I will be designing the kits and getting them out for sale as often as I can so check back often. I have added a search bar at the top of my blog. If you put "kits" in that search line, it will pull up all blog entries where kits are offered for sale.

Everything needed to complete the layouts will be included in the kits along with a picture of the completed layout and brief instructions. If you need to see a bigger picture, or be able to zoom in for a closer look, you need only email me and I will send you out a picture that you can look at on your computer.

Here in Reno rodeo time is coming up, so I have chosen that as the theme for the first of these new simpler kits. Hope you like it! There are a limited number of these kits available. They will be sold on a first come first served so contact me soon if you want one.

I still have "Lil' Buckaroo" kits available and since they have similar theme, I have included a picture of that layout as well. This kit includes much more and is more involved and is priced at $12 each.

Project 365 Day 35

Today I taught a card class and then scrapped with friends at Scrapper's Paradise as I do most Tuesday. I have decided to begin designing a line of page kits that will be simpler and therefore less expensive. I finished designing my first one over the weekend and tonight at the crop I was able to get the kits made. This first kit is going to be offered for sale on my blog site for $7.00. There will be more to come.

Project 365 Day 34

Today after teaching a Sketches Class in my home I was off to Lemon Valley to pick Peek-A-Boo up from Aunt Vicki's. I always come in and sit down on this chair in their living room and Peek-A-Boo immediately jumps up and excitedly showers me with kisses. Today after Peek-A-Boo jumped all the way up to my chest, one of their dogs named Peaches jumped up to join her on my lap. Here I am being welcomed home by the puppies.

Project 365 Day 33

Sadly, today was the final day of our weekend of scrapbooking. I paid my bill and bid Donna Jean goodbye until next time. The next one is in July and we are already signed up.

Project 365 Day 32

Last year I took a class where I made this great page for pictures of going to an Aces game. I never got to go to a single game however. This year I was able to attend opening day so I was finally able to put pictures on my page. I had a good time and I'm really hoping that I get to go to more games this year.

Project 365 Day 31

Well, I've made it in my project for one whole month. Yeah Me! Today I left town with friends for a weekend of scrapbooking at County Purr Farm in Carson City. The crop didn't start until 5 or 6, but we were so excited to get started that we left this morning so that we could get in a full day. My picture for today is of us scrapping in the room which was empty but for us. Call us crazy but we wanted to get in all the scrapping time we possibly could!

Project 365 Day 30

My friend Tracey is the best person I know at finding bargains. She goes into Ross, Tuesday Morning, thrift store and yard sales and always seems to find something amazing. I go to the same stores and find nothing. Tonight was the Tuesday night crop at Scrapper's Paradise which is right next door to Ross. She wandered over there and found this too cute tote for only $10. Of course it was the only one---GRRR! Isn't it adorable with it's pretty colors and sweet butterflies? Oh well, I certainly don't need another tote, but this one would have been too cute to pass up----If I had been the one to find it of course!

Project 365 Day 29

Today finds me curled up on my couch AGAIN trying to kick this bug. I AM going to be well again tomorrow! About the only thing I can say about today is that I accomplished reading my email---Just look at that beautiful couple whose picture is on my computer!

project 365 Day 28

I keep thinking I'm over this bug I've gotten ahold of, and I keep going about my regular activities only to feel horrible all over again----so..although I didn't want to, I stayed home from Bible study and church this evening and spent the entire day in my sick bed again. The only things I allowed myself to do were to finish my laundry (thus today's picture), and to organize the pictures on my computer. Cross your fingers with me that this sacrifice will mean that I will be much better tomorrow, because I MUST prepare for my card class! If I'm not able to work tomorrow, I will have to postpone my daytime class.

Here's Hoping!

Project 365 Day 27

I've been taking Mandee's Little Tykes class each month as a special treat to myself. I just love her style and I'm always thrilled with her pages. She is expecting twin baby girls in August. Here she is teaching one of the students how to make a paper flower.

Thanks Mandee! Great class, as usual!

Project 365 Day 26

Well, I still have no voice to speak of, but I'm feeling much better, so I actually left the house today. For the past two days I haven't so much as walked out my door---even to check the mail, so that's my picture for today. I kind of like it cause it makes it look like it cause it makes it look like I live in the mountains. I also got some errands run, so except for my voice, it looks like I'm back in the swing of things.

Project 365 Day 25

Another exciting day in the land of the sick. More of the same. By the night I was starting to feel a bit better. I was able to accomplish washing my dishes, so my picture for today is on my nice empty sink after the dishes were done.

Project 365 Day 24

Okay Girls---Hold onto your socks! I've been sick so these next few entries are pretty exciting. I wasn't feeling too well on Monday, then a bit worse on Tuesday, but I pushed through and got my Calendar Class taught. Once that was finished, my body said, "I'm done!" and Wednesday I woke up really sick. My picture shows what my day and night consisted of---Sleep, Medicine, Kleenex, and TV. I would have killed for a bowl of soup but the cupboards were bare.

Project 365 Day 23

Day 23---I'm still goin'! On the second Tuesday evening of every month I teach a class where the girls make decorate a calendar for next year, do a double page layout, and a seasonal card. By the end of the year they have a beautiful decorated calendar, an album with a double page layout for each month and 12 cards. My picture for today is of some of the girls in the class that I taught tonight. I am so thankful for each and every one of you! I was astonished this year when my class more than doubled in size. I feel so honored that you girls want to take my classes. We have a big and wonderfully fun group this year and I hope you are all having as much fun taking the class as I am having you there.

Thanks Gals!!

P.S. The other picture is of my perfectionist Megan, very seriously doing the cutting that was required in tonight's class.

Project 365 Day 22

My picture for today is of the beautiful daisies that Megan and Mikey gave me for Mother's Day. Don't they look cheerful? I love daisies!

Project 365 Day 21--Happy Mother's Day!

Well, today makes three weeks for my Project 365. Go Tonna! Today was also Mother's Day. Megan and Mikey took me to play Bingo which is where my picture for today was taken. Notice the bears lurking in the artificial ficus tree in the Bingo parlor---hmmmm. We didn't win, darn it! Maybe next time.

Project 365 Day 20---Stitching Again?

Yes girls, I have stitched on yet another layout. These are pictures of my Matilda at her 2nd birthday party. I've stitched the flight trails of the cute little butterflies on the pages. So far there are no entries from any of you for the challenges I posted in May. If I were participating in this challenge instead of hosting it, I would be way ahead of all of you with 3 entries already. I have used felt and stitching on one layout and stitching again on two others. Just to be sure, I'm going to remind you of how enter. go to the post on my blog titled May Challenges, take a picture of your entry and post a link to the picture in the comment section of that post. I'm going to work on my version of the sketch next---you all better get busy. There is a small prize at stake!

Project 365 Day 19

Today was my son-in-law Mike's birthday. A whole bunch of us celebrated by meeting at the drive in movie to see Iron Man 2. We all converged on the place with our lawn chairs and blankets and Round Table delivered pizza to us there. Crazy! Megan baked him a cake and my pictures for today are of him blowing out his candles in the back of Rochelle's truck. Twenty-five year's worth of candles give off quite a glow as can be seen in the one photo. I enjoyed the movie but not as much as I did the first one. We had a good time and I was glad to be included.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!!!

Project 365 Day 18

I've had a busy day today and I'm tired, but I must post the picture for my project before I head to the couch. I had Matilda overnight last night and I decided I needed to snap another picture of her this morning before we left to do errands. She chose the site for the photos---in front of the garbage can, oh well, and she chose her pose. What a cutie! I am so blessed!

Project 365 Day 17

I have spent the day preparing for my class next week. This evening Matilda came over to spend the night with me. We played with the new dolly I bought for her at a yard sale, had some dinner, and did an art project. Here she is relaxing on the couch with some animal crackers watching Horton Hears a Who. Something about the movie really tickles her. She gets the giggles every time she watches it. What a beautiful sound!

We're Famous!

Hi girls--I received an email from Vicki today letting me know that the story of our crop to make cards for the troops and the pictures we took have been posted on the Operation Write Home blog. Here is the link: http://www.owhhomefrontblog.org/2010/05/first-ever-reno-card-crop.html. Take a peek.

Project 365 Day 16

Every Tuesday night except on the one Tuesday a month that I teach at night, I go to the mid-week crop at Scrapper's Paradise. That's where I was tonight and here are some of the smiling faces of the great group of friends I get to crop with there.

Thank girls for all the giggles!

Project 365 Day 15

When it happens that I am going to be away from home for any extended period of time when I can't take Peek-A-Boo along, I am lucky enough to have a friend who takes her for me. My National Scrapbook Day Marathon was one of those times. I was pretty beat yesterday, so I went out to pick my little cutie up this afternoon. I left her in the car just long enough to grab my mail. I turned around and she just looked so cute that I had to make her my picture for today. The picture didn't turn out so well because of the glare on my car window, but trust me---she's adorable. It's good to have her home. It's just not the same around here without her.

I want to tell my friend Vicki and her husband how lucky I feel that have them during those times. I don't have to worry a second. They take such great care of her and they just love her to death. She loves them too.
So here's a shout out to Aunt Vicki and Uncle Bud.

THANKS GUYS!! YOU'RE THE BEST!!

Project 365 Day 14

Did I mention that I've been into stitching on my pages lately? Today I stitched from Reno to New York to make an embellishment for a page about Megan and Mikey's trip there. I scraplifted the idea from an "I miss you" card in one of my magazines. My National Scrapbook Day Weekend Marathon is over. Oh well, the celebration may be over, but my scrapping sure is not and I always have good friends to do it with. Let the celebration continue!

Project 365 Day 13

Happy National Scrapbook Day everyone! I spent another wonderful day scrapping with my buds. I got a bit tired, but I made it till the end! Tomorrow I will be back at it again with the Treasured Memories group. Today I finished this layout with pics of Matilda taken while she and I were gardening last year. I have completed two of my own challenges to you with this layout. I made my sweet little strawberries out of felt and I stitched my title. It was the first time I had stitched letters. I like it!
